Hangar 18
Hangar 18 Internship #1 – Meredith Cale
Finally, we are out of the classroom and getting our first taste of real world experience in the industry. For my six-week internship through the Interactive Design program at Capilano University, I have the pleasure of working with Hangar 18. Hangar 18 is a hybrid creative firm specializing in advertising, design and interactive.

Into the Wild: Week One at Hangar 18
It has been a great first week so far and I am really enjoying my co-workers. The first day I spent getting oriented with the office, setting up my workstation and learning all the tools I will be using.

Four weeks in and I feel much more comfortable with the work I am doing at Hangar 18. The transition from the classroom to the office issn’t totally smooth , but definitely exciting, because you are in a real working environment. I found what I was looking for, and the Hangar 18 development team is helping me a lot, and giving me challenging duties so I can learn much more.
The next two weeks will be very busy, but everything is under control at Hangar 18 since they have really experienced teams. The team I am working with is the interactive development team, which they call “Webheads”. Other teams are “Creatives”, “Producers”, and › Continue reading

Their client list includes companies and organizations such as YVR, BC Hydro, Boston Pizza, Tourism Vancouver and so on.
I have been currently working on the development side of projects. I have started working on two amazing projects last week but I can’t reveal any information about them until they are published.
