Dash 2 Internship Update with Kristof Lenart
I am enjoying my time at Dash 2 learning lots and working with such a great team. They’re a small company, so communication and collaboration of ideas & progress is very important. In this environment every idea or suggestion is more easily taken into account and discussed in an open and friendly environment. Since it is a smaller team there is an easier flow when it comes to discussing ideas and projects. Dash 2 values openness and accountability as everyone is responsible for their share, you must carry your weight because everyone is counting on you as you are on them.
My time is split into several different chunks when it comes to projects. Often for new projects there is some research involved prior to starting. When it is something of an entirely new nature there may be some prior education and learning involved including some brief tutorials and lessons. Being prepared and capable of finishing the task effectively is important. Most of my time is spent completing the wireframes, and final designs for the various projects I am working on. I also spend a good amount of my time communicating with the team making sure everything is going in the right direction, exchanging ideas, and discussing other project relevant material.
I have learned some great practices in my position as UX Designer. I find having a good plan and well mapped out schedule of your day and week is very useful to stay ahead and keep a good flow going when you work in such an environment. Getting good feedback, and conducting proper research is crucial for both the project outcome and for productivity.
My internship is fun and I am looking forward to the next few weeks!
