Yo my name is Joe and I like to build dynamic websites. My area of expertise would have to be in working with PHP and mysql but I am currently taking on some flash actionscript 3.0  projects, one of them including my portfolio. Below are some images of the work I have done.

Site Description:

This site was built for a musician who would like to have the ability to control the content on the website. I have taken on the task of building my own CMS because I thought it would be a great learning experience to see what takes to build one of those things. So far the admin of the site can add, delete or edit blog posts, images and songs. They can also manage user generated content (comments and usernames). The admin can also keep a track history of the comments posted from all users. The comments must be approved before they can be seen on the site. If they reveal personal information about the admin they can be declined. If they are contain offensive material they can be declined with a warning. Users can get warnings by having on offensive username as well. The admin can keep track of users with warnings by viewing their previously offensive material and decide whether or not to ban them. Once a user is banned they cannot sign up with again using their email address cause it will be recorded in the database.

CEO Flash Project

Project Description:

In this project we had to develop a flash page that displayed information about a CEO. I put a twist on it and made it an assassins calling page where they can select a target (CEO) and get their bio and info and why they are a threat. One of the main objectives was to have flash read from an XML document which contained the CEO info and display it on the page.

This page first starts off with a message that animates on screen and welcomes you. The top menu bar slides in from off the page from above. You select the ceos from the secondary navigation which animates from the left after selecting find jobs.

UFC 120 Flash website (Non-official)
Project Description
For my directed studies project I have chosen to build a flash website using actionscript 3.0. The user can view the event details, fight cards, in depth information on the main event, trailer for the event and they can vote for which fighter they think will win. As of now I am in the design phase of the project.
