Can Tastemel @ Hangar 18 – Teams & Best Practices

Hangar 18

Four weeks in and I feel much more comfortable with the work I am doing at Hangar 18. The transition from the classroom to the office issn’t totally smooth , but definitely exciting, because you are in a real working environment. My biggest expectation during the internship search was finding a team that can help me out during my learning process. I found what I was looking for, and the Hangar 18 development team is helping me a lot, and giving me challenging duties so I can learn much more.

The next  two weeks will be very busy, but everything is under control at Hangar 18 since they have really experienced teams.  The team I am working with is the interactive development team, which they call “Webheads”.  Other teams are “Creatives”, “Producers”, and “Suits”. Communication between teams is easy, as you just need to connect with the person you need talk to, and they will help you if it is a convenient time for them.

The best practice during my internship is in gaining efficiency in coding and creating, while finding other ways around issues instead of wasting too much time on solving a never-ending problem. Learning more efficient problem-solving impacts the whole project process and keeps teams on time and on target with their delivery.
